Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose cash-based Physical Therapy over a traditional clinic?
The traditional insurance-based model often forces clinics to see multiple patients per hour just to cover overhead. In that environment, you might spend only 15 minutes with a physical therapist before being handed off.
At Saguaro PT & Wellness, you receive undivided attention from your personal Physical Therapist which allows for one-on-one attention leading to faster results and fewer total visits needed to reach your goals.
How many visits will I need?
Every person is unique. During your initial evaluation, we’ll provide a clear plan of care and good faith estimates addressing the upfront costs. Because we work 1-on-1 and interventions are personalized to you, we expect to reach your goals quicker.
What does a typical session look like?
Your physical therapist will come directly to your home, bringing all necessary equipment. Each session is completely one-on-one. We’ll follow the plan discussed during your consult, which may include hands-on therapy, guided exercises, and education. We can also incorporate any equipment you have at home.
After the session, your therapist will clean up, review what was covered, and provide instructions if needed.
Do I need a referral or prescription?
No referral is needed to begin care. Arizona allows direct access to physical therapy, meaning you can schedule an appointment without a doctor’s note.
We are a fully cash-based practice and do not directly bill insurance. This allows for longer, personalized sessions without limitations set by insurance companies. However, we can provide a superbill upon request for potential reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits.
We do not bill Medicare. However, you may still choose to work with us as a wellness service provider. Wellness visits focus on general mobility, strength, stability, and injury prevention. These visits are NOT performed or billed as traditional physical therapy.
Payment is collected at or before the time of service. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, HSA/FSA, cash, and digital payment options like Venmo.
We provide in-home care throughout the West Valley, including Litchfield Park, Verrado, Goodyear, Buckeye, and surrounding areas.
What should I wear or prepare?
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. We’ll bring all equipment, but if you have space for a mat or treatment table, that’s helpful. Pets and family are welcome to observe or relax nearby!
What services do you provide?
We offer in-home physical therapy and wellness services focused on pain relief, mobility, balance, and recovery. This may include manual therapy, dry needling, myofascial cupping, functional strengthening, and neuromuscular re-education. We also offer shorter 30-minute manual-based visits for maintenance and focused care.
What happens if I need to cancel?
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations with less than 24 hours may be subject to a fee. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
